New Water Farms Apprenticeship 2017

Full and part-time positions available

New Water Farms offers a unique opportunity for students committed to enriching the non-profit, small farm sector via integrated and sustainable agricultural practices. The farm is on a 22 acre peninsula on Lake Martin, and only 30 minutes from Auburn. We currently have established blocks of blackberries, blueberries, and other small fruits. We are excited to announce the addition of our new CSA, through which New Water will serve 30 families fresh, local produce every week from May - September.

Job Description • Lead summer harvest, maintenance, and installation crews • Market fruit and value-added products at markets and special events • Manage fruit crop-specific growth habits • Maintain the vegetable plots • Administer IPM programs for fruit and vegetable commodities • Maintain compliance and regulatory guidelines for chemical and safety programs • Assist with educational seminars and special events, such as volunteer day
